Brendan McNamara always struck me as the type of guy who sits at home desperately waiting for his kids to fall asleep so he can go out and pick up hookers.

Can you believe Kojima has a lifetime achievement in gaming award, but the guy who created the Monkey Island series, Ron Jeremy, does not?

You sure you don't have your Ron's mixed up there?

Why was there never a Call of Duty: White Ops?

Fuck games crashing and losing your progress.
Say what you want about The Walking Dead, I never had to rewatch half an episode because there were too many zombies on screen to handle.

Saw a gaming mag in the supermarket today that claimed Cyberpunk 2077 was the RPG of the decade. Which is a bullshit claim, regardless of whether they meant the 2010s (will not release in them, still haven't seen gameplay) or the 2020s (lol @ the best something of a decade being released four months into that decade.)
Needless to say, I fought back the tears, Eric Andre'd the entire aisle and moseyed on out of there.

Perhaps they mean A decade. Compared to the last ten years of RPG's? Still, hard to gauge before release.

Sometimes trying to get anywhere in this life feels like those dogs from Pokemon Gold/Silver where you hit them one time then they run away.

I have no evidence to back this up, but we live in a dark future where shooters became more popular than adventure games.

Railroading in games sucks. Not everything has to be wide open of course, but it annoys me when developers go out of their way to restrict you.
Like, I was playing Uncharted 4 recently, and there's a bit early on where you have to swing across an alleyway to a fire escape, then jump down to the street from there. But if you just let go of the rope, you fall to your death, even though the lowest point of your swing is actually lower than the fire escape. What's annoying is that jumping off the fire escape doesn't even trigger a cutscene of Nathan Drake landing near it, it's just continuous gameplay.

Even though it's annoying, I find it simultaneously amusing that any article on Cracked dot com about the Fallout series will not even acknowledge or mention the first two games. I think they might intentionally just be trying to troll people.

Games like Control and The Outer Worlds are good, but I want advancement, new things that expand and evolve, not reheats of classics from 2010. What's next, baby?
Yep, I am a super cool and romantic Halt and Catch Fire kind of guy.

Me to a developer when they make a game I actually want to play, but then don't put it on the platform of choice, the PS4.
