I think it was implied through dialogue with edi. Maybe not.

Okay, okay, this one is really ridiculous, but it just crept into my head the other day:
Just like Dragon Age 2 incorporated things from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 4 will do the same with Dragon Age: Origins.
Instead of the dialogue wheel, you'd have the list of responses a la KotOR and Origins. Because there would be no voiced protagonist, you'd be able to pick to play as any of the Mass Effect races, with stat bonuses and penalties depending on your choice. You could even have different tutorials depending on your choice of race.
I told you it was crazy. I just really wanna play as a krogan or a salarian.

Honestly, I would love something like that. BioWare has like...what... four studios now, I see no reason why they shouldn't try to cater to fans in that way. =O

What about a Mass Effect tabletop RPG? I wanna turn Geth into sparks and machine oil with my Krogan warlord's shotgun after rolling a 20d critical dammit!

Wouldn't be surprised if one was in the works. Would need a bit more variation than the current game gives for the real number crunchers out there though.

I'd be happy with that Mass Effect 4 idea above. Definitely. Would LOVE to play a quarian or an asari.
But I do think I'd prefer a completely new setting with those rules - silent character, multiple origins etc.

I would actually prefer to see a space trader/merc SIM in the ME setting. We haven't had a good one of those in too long.

Another Mass Effect one:
Post ME3, the geth will open themselves to the galaxy, maybe even getting a seat on a new, fairer council.
Because A. They'll likely be fighting shoulder to shoulder with everyone else against the Reapers, meaning people's attitudes would likely change a bit, especially once the truth got out about only a few geth following the Reapers, and B. How bloody awesome would a civilisation of robots be?

I would actually prefer to see a space trader/merc SIM in the ME setting. We haven't had a good one of those in too long. *Suddenly remembers Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries* *Cringes* Of course, if it was anything along the lines of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, then that would sit fine with me.

Actually I was thinking along the lines of a cross between Freelancer and X3. But if you want to insert the idea of crappy games in the ME universe don't let me stop you...

Oh! Yeah, Freelancer. I remember that game. I'd love to see that type of game in the ME universe. I always thought fighter piloting needed more exposure in the series.

Well fighters in the ME setting appears to be a rather suicidal occupation according to the codex. I'd hate to see the life insurance premiums those folks pay. Still a quick retcon and you would have a pretty interesting setting for that kinda thing.

That's sort of why I created my own class of fighter in my current fanfic (Cyan Steel). It's a Corvette, a heavier fighter designed for runs against capital ships as well as strafing runs. I sort of nabbed the idea from Homeworld 2.

Strange that 'vettes didn't exist in the setting already. Homeworld had the right idea. Too bad they mucked things up by stuffing an economy in the game. Building a set number of ships from resource points or something would have been better. Loved that game though.

Okay, I think I'm onto something here:
The Illusive Man (and maybe the rest Cerberus, sans the Normandy's crew) are indoctrinated.
From what we've heard of Mass Effect 3, Cerberus wants Shepard dead, right? Pretty illogical by anyone's standards. And where there's an absence of logic (an absence greater than the general near-complete lack of logic 99% of BioWare characters suffer from) in the Mass Effect universe, indoctrination can never be far behind!
